(after Tom Roberts)
AU$2,500 (+ freight & Ins – see below)
Tom Roberts conceived the idea of a bushranger picture while he was staying at Inverell in northern NSW. He painted ‘Bailed up‘ largely en plein air. It tells as much of the qualities of the local landscape as of its staged drama. (Art Gallery NSW)
Part of my Australian Classics collection, this masterpiece took two years of loving stitching to create. Designed by Country Threads after Tom Robert’s iconic painting. Professionally stretched and mounted on acid-free board; framed by James Frames (Maleny) with triple mat; non-reflective UV protective glass; treated against mould during mounting. Natural wood frame to suit the subject.
While it is a stand-alone piece of artwork, it would be complimented by hanging beside another of my pieces: The Pioneer (after Frederick McCubbin). Both are the same dimensions and framed in matching frames.
specs: sixteen count Aida mat; DMC thread; Height 78cm width 57cm depth 2 cm
